Petrified Wood Flame

Petrified Wood is a fossil. Its formed when plant material is buried my sediment and protected firm decay due to the oxygen and organisms. Then groundwater which is rich in dissolved solids such as silica, calcite, pyrite and opal will flow through and replace the original plant material. The most famous locality is Arizona. Its estimated range is 20 million to 300 million years old.
